Six for Sunday

Hi Lovelies

Can’t believe Sunday has rolled round again, but here it is and that means its time for Six for Sunday, even more exciting is that it is my first one of 2021. Today’s prompt is Bookish Wins of 2020. Don’t forget you can interpret this anyway you want and for me I am going to talk about my reading in 2020 and my social media accounts.

Before we get onto the list here is where Six for Sunday originates from.. Six for Sunday was created by Steph over at A Little But A Lot A weekly prompt to shout out our six faves on a certain topic. You can also check out Steph’s blog for prompts in the future if you are like me and like to know ahead. You can find the prompts here.

Have you had any bookish wins this year? They can be personal ones to you or things that you have done well in 2020.

2020 Bookish Wins

I reached 15K followers on Instagram in July 2020 – I don’t think I speak about my Bookstagram account much on my blog but that is where I started this journey. My Bookstagram is the main account where I showcase my love of books.

I was shortlisted for the UKYABA Awards for best established blog. I was up against so many amazing accounts but I made the top four. It made it worth all the hard work I had bene putting into my blog.

I was gifted several early copies of books and was able to read them before there release dates. One being Addie LaRue – which I absolutely LOVED.

I was able to reach my Goodreads Reading goal and somehow doubled it. I didn’t put pressure on myself to read at all last year what with it being quite a hard year.

I found so many more amazing authors through Twitter, Instagram and peoples blogs. This was because so many authors had their book events postponed or cancelled due to the pandemic. It was great to see the bookish community come together and celebrate these authors by pre-ordering and shouting out about the books.

Another personal one with my social media account but it was being picked and repoing for EIGHT yes you read that right EIGHT different bookish companies. They took a chance on me to shoutout and promote their businesses and I loved every second of it.
