Top 5 Comfort Reads

Hi Lovelies

So my lovely friend Emma over at Never Judge a Book by it’s cover has started a new blog series called Booked-In. Emma has thought about how we can all support one another at this time from Authors, sharing our self-care tips, and most of all our love of books. Today’s post that Emma has created is all about the Comfort Reads.

We are looking at out Top 5 Comfort Reads and I am sure if you are taking part in this prompt I am going to see a lot of Harry Potter!

So here are my top 5 comfort reads.

Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien

This series was and still is my favourite from when I was a teenager. I felt that it opened my eyes to this genre, and I still love it to this day.

Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling

I told you that Harry Potter would make an appearance! I grew up with this series being 10 when they first released (yes I am that old).

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

This was a book I had to read for school but I loved it. My English Teacher was the best ever teacher and got me into loving reading again.

His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman

Another book recommended to me by my English Teacher when I was 14 years old. I loved this series so much it again brings back happy childhood memories.

A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

Thoroughly enjoyed the first ACSDAL and AHsFaB highly recommend them to anyone that loves a retelling with a twist. Oh and a sexy captain.

My question to you is.. What Are YOUR comfort reads?
